ABOUT
MEET ANGELINA
I became a dietitian because I wanted to help people feel better. But early in my career, I realized pretty quickly that it wasn’t really about the food.
My patients were navigating so much more than food choices…financial pressures, emotional histories with trauma, and systems that weren’t always built to support the changes we were asking them to make. No meal plan could touch any of that.
I had been trained to be the nutrition expert in the room, but what I was learning was that the most important thing I could do was actually listen. That’s when I found motivational interviewing and it changed everything.
MI gave me the skills and the space to really explore what my patients were up against. I live with my heart, and MI just fit for me.
What I do now, whether I’m training a healthcare team, coaching an individual practitioner, or developing a curriculum, all comes back to that same core belief: that how we talk with people matters as much as what we know. I thrive on connection, and MI gave me the avenue to do that.

"Angelina has such a gentle way of drawing you in. She explains things in a way that just makes sense, and by the end of the training I was already thinking about how I'd use it with my next patient."

"I've invested in a lot of professional development over the years and honestly most of it doesn't stick. What Angelina does is different. Months later our staff are still talking about it, still using the language, still checking in with each other on it. That kind of staying power is rare."
